WELCOME
Welcome to Music City USA!
Held at the prestigious Opryland Hotel, in Nashville,
Tennessee, the 2007 Music City Swing Dance Championships featured some of the top Swing dancers in America. The
competitions were fantastic, the workshops were great and the social
dancing ran till 4:30 AM.
Friday's highlight was a special Jazz
Workshop taught by Benji Schwimmer, 2006 winner of "So You Think You Can
Dance". The attendees had a blast and Benji very graciously took
pictures with fans in-between classes.
Saturday's highlight was a live music performance by Nashville recording
artists, "The Randall Brothers" accompanied by singer, Holly Lewis.
Terrific music.
Sunday featured two special highlights. It began with a special
entertainment spoof of the "So You Think You Can Dance" TV series. Top
National Dance Pros played special roles:

The skit was hilarious and everyone had a great time.
The weekend ended with our "Dancing with the Stars" fundraiser for
Benji's Charitibale Foundation, D.E.M.A.N.D. (Dancers Everywhere Making
A Needed Difference). A total of $500 was raised for a wonderful
cause.
In 2008 we move to the Sheraton Hotel with another great cast of Pro
Instructors, special entertainment features, competitions, workshops,
and late-night social dancing. We hope to see you all there!
